Between those two rooms you now have a legitimate reason to make plans inside the village instead of driving toward Colonial Park or Hershey. Add Giovanni's Pizza, the Linglestown Firehouse Bar, the Linglestown Diner, the Linglestown Inn, and roasted beans from St. Thomas Roasters, and the walkable dinner-plus-nightcap loop that used to require a car now fits between two roundabouts.
The other change worth naming is the grocery anchor. Weis Markets held a ribbon cutting on the re-opened Linglestown store on Thursday, June 4, 2026, closing out a remodel that began with the six-pump Gas N' Go Fuel Center that opened in 2025, with the chain doubling its Gas N' Go discount to 20¢ off per gallon per 100 points redeemed from June 4 through July 11. The weekly anchor most residents underuse

Those figures come from event manager John Hanks Jr., who told TheBurg that the 2019 launch featured 35 vendors around Linglestown's main square on Route 39, this year's committee selected 120 vendors out of 200 applications with sellers coming from as far as New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Maryland, and while the first year drew around 2,500, 2022 and 2023 topped 7,000 with a target of up to 10,000. The festival grounds now stretch to Linglestown's second traffic roundabout.
The 2026 edition is on the calendar. The 8th Annual Lower Paxton Christkindlmarkt runs Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rain or shine, at 5961 Linglestown Rd. If you are a resident, the useful thing to know is that parking within the village disappears early. The residential blocks on either side of Mountain Road fill up first. Walking in from home, if you can, remains the fastest way in.
What is on offer inside is not a generic craft fair. It is specifically German. The market features handmade crafts, German sausages, funnel cakes, hot cocoa, a special Christkindlmarkt brew by St. Thomas Roasters, a living nativity presented by community churches, live music and dance on three stages with two dozen performances, and a "KinderWorld" children's area supported by students from Central Dauphin East High School's German Society.
